Run or walk your way to your first half marathon finish or improve your best time by training with the "sea of blue" on Runnin' for Rhett's training half marathon training program. Our program is designed to prepare you to run, run/walk, or walk a winter half marathon. All fitness levels are welcome and encouraged to join us!
Your success is our success! Pace groups are led by trained pace group leaders who will lead you and support you through the training and we will ultimately have you prepared to race in the Urban Cow Half Marathon on Sunday, October 7th, 2012
- Written running and walking training plans
- Three group training workouts each week
- Experienced coaching at all group workouts
- Team Runnin' for Rhett technical training shirt or singlet
- Team Runnin' for Rhett rubber band bracelet
- Weekly informational e-mail updates
- Training seminars on nutrition, injury prevention and other topics
- Exclusive team race area at the Urban Cow Half Marathon
- Saturdays, 8am - American River Bike Trail at Northrop Avenue. (Walkers and run/walkers will move to 7:30 am midway through the training.)
- Tuesdays, 6pm - McKinley Park in front of the library at Alhambra and F Streets.
- Thursdays, 6pm - Cosumnes Oaks High School track stadium, Elk Grove
Our training group is coached by the owners and coaches of High Five Team Training, Will Hightower and Rachelle Hightower. Pace group leaders are trained in coaching skills and certified in CPR.
