2021 Winter/Spring Incentive Program

With COVID still a concern, our focus for this season is to KEEP YOU MOVING!  The goal will be for you to put in a workout THREE times each week during the 10 weeks of the season.  Simply download the FREE Strava app and join the Runnin’ for Rhett Blue Crew group.  Click here for step-by-step instructions.  Log every run, walk, bike ride, swim, pickleball session, Pilates, yoga flow, snowshoe, etc. in the app for it to count.  We will be doing weekly incentive drawings for everyone who had 3 workouts or more to make it more fun.  And at the end of the season, everyone who reaches 30 workouts (30 days of activity in the 10 week period, daily doubles don’t count) will receive a Runnin’ for Rhett cross-body backpack.  Those earning fewer points can redeem their workouts for other swag items. It’s not a strict requirement, but we encourage you to wear your baby blue and post selfies to encourage your fellow members to join in the fun!

MEET THE PACE GROUP LEADERS

We are excited to bring pace leaders back to our 2020 training. If you have not been running recently, we recommend that you join one of our pace groups that are doing a run/walk interval.

Experience has taught us that doing intervals helps you increase your distance and endurance quickly with fewer injuries.  Muscles adapt quickly, but tendons and ligaments take longer, and we want you to start the race, and finish it, injury-free! Feel free to try one of the groups on a Saturday, and switch any week to a different one. Sometimes it takes a couple of weeks to find your ideal pace.

R4R Trail Blue Crew Training Details:

All the workouts will be posted on Meet Up, but we ask everyone to check the calendar the day before to ensure locations haven’t changed.  Sometimes trails are closed for a race, a mudslide, etc. and we don’t want someone to show up to the wrong location.
